One Epic Year: The Story So Far (And How to Join the Crew)

The Concept
One Epic Year isn’t a standard anthology. It’s a living story that features on the holidays it represents. Each day having a different genre.
The goal was to create a gritty, real-time reading experience that stays with you throughout the year. So far, the journey has been intense, and we’re only just reaching the halfway point.

The Catch-Up
We have four days of the year officially out in the wild:

  1. New Year’s Day: The cold awakening.
When Gareth, Dan, Luke, and Cal wake on New Year’s morning, it feels like just another legendary night gone too far. The stale stink of booze clings to the air. Empty bottles litter the ground. Their heads pound with the weight of a hangover they can’t remember earning. But there’s one detail they can’t laugh off—none of them remembers how they ended up in the locked cellar of their local pub.
  2. Valentine’s Day: A heart-breaker in more ways than one.
For Dan, it’s the most important day of his life. For Lucy, it’s a chance to bind her future to the man she adores. But for Gareth and Lara—already drifting apart—it’s a slow-motion car crash. Every step, every romantic gesture, every attempt of reconciliation pulls them further from the idea of happily ever after. And then there are the uninvited guests. The whispers in the shadows. The chill that seems to move through the crowd like a draft no one else can feel.
  3. Good Friday: The heavy toll of sacrifice.
A funeral for a man who never truly died.
Jim was more than a mentor—he was the glue that held the lads together. He bought their first pints, told them their wildest stories, and treated them like family when their own homes felt less than whole. For Gareth especially, Jim was the father figure he never had, a steady hand in a world too often spinning out of control.
  4. Easter Sunday: A resurrection that wasn’t supposed to happen.
It begins like any other Easter Sunday—bright skies, quiet streets, the hum of a world waking up to spring. But for Gareth, Dan, Luke, and Cal, this is no ordinary morning. It seems all too familiar and no one knows why. As they move through the day, sirens wail. Fire rains from the sky. Alien ships descend upon London, tearing through the city in a storm of chaos. Humanity’s final stand erupts in a single horrifying day.
    And then it resets.

If you’ve missed any of these drops, you can grab the current collection on Amazon to get up to speed before the heat hits in August.

Looking Toward August
The next release isn’t until the August Bank Holiday. While that feels like a long way off, this is the perfect time to catch up of the story so far!

Join the ARC Team Want to read the August Bank Holiday story (and the rest of the year) before anyone else? I’m looking for honest reviewers to join my ARC (Advance Review Copy) team. You get the stories for free; I get the feedback I need to keep this year epic.
