One Epic Year Day-by-Day

Nine Iconic Days. One Epic Mystery. The British Sci-Fi Anthology.

The mystery didn’t start today. Before we hit the August Bank Holiday heist, you need to know how we got here. The first four ‘Days’ are live, linked, and available now. Read them as standalones, or piece together the larger sci-fi arc before the next drop.

The Story So Far…

Four estranged friends are mysteriously trapped in the cellar of their old local pub after more than twenty years apart. Forced to cooperate to find an escape, they begin to rediscover the bonds that once united them, and the possibility of a shared future.

The much-anticipated wedding of Dan and Lucy faced a dramatic disruption when an old flame resurfaced, bringing unresolved issues to the fore. Concurrently, Gareth is desperately trying to reconcile with Lara following their abrupt split, resorting to increasingly chaotic and imaginative stunts to prove his devotion.

Attending the funeral of their beloved old friend and mentor brings a mix of sorrow and warmth, reminding the men of the father figure who first brought them together. However, a discovery linking back to a wartime past presents the possibility of profoundly altering their own futures.

Following the events of the funeral, a strange time loop traps the lads, forcing them to relive a terrifying alien invasion that systematically decimates the earth over and over again. Can they find a way to break the cycle and save the world, or just learn to live with their failures?

The Remaining 2026 Schedule:

The Days of Reckoning
You’ve made it through the brutal first four “Days.” But the journey is far from over. Gear up. Here is what the rest of the year holds for the lads, and what you can do to be among the first to experience it:

After the landlord of their favourite local pub suffers a heart attack, a group of regulars discovers a sinister corporate plot to seize control of the establishment. To save their beloved local, they join forces with others and execute an audacious heist to reclaim the pub before it’s lost forever.

The lads’ delayed stag do turns into a horror show at a remote Scottish cabin, unsettlingly close to a village rife with werewolves, vampires, and zombies. Simultaneously, Lara and Lucy face a different kind of terror: the potential psychopath living right next door.

A web of secrets and betrayal fractures a friendship. Driven to the edge by feeling exploited, one friend embraces a terror plot to settle the score. Can the remaining group overcome their personal crisis and halt their former comrade before he destroys both their country and the bonds they once shared?

This year, peace and goodwill are a joke! During the Christmas season, one of our heroes is forced to confront three distinct entities in a journey of remembrance to rediscover what truly matters. Meanwhile, the other heroes must undertake a long and arduous journey, battling obstructions in their path, all to reach a very special birth.

The culmination of this ‘One Epic Year’ arrives in a final, epic clash on The Mall. Every hard-won lesson, painful loss, and strong bond will be tested in this ultimate stand as an ancient, generational foe finally executes their sinister plans.

Join the Crew: One Epic Year ARC Team

The Reality of the Mission I’m Jamie. I work a full-time job, I train like a madman to build my creative confidence, and in the quiet hours, I write. One Epic Year is my biggest project yet—a British sci-fi drama told across nine iconic days, from a pub cellar on New Year’s Day to a world-ending showdown on New Year’s Eve.

I don’t have a massive publishing house behind me. I have this keyboard, my morning coffee, and you. To get these stories seen, I need a dedicated crew of readers to check the work and leave honest reviews.

The Deal If you join the ARC (Advance Review Copy) team, I’ll send you each story as a PDF two weeks before it goes live. You get the story for free. In exchange, I’m asking for your honest feedback and a review on Amazon on launch day.
