Introduction
We open on the picturesque view of the White Cliffs of Dover. A single row boat approaches with a tired, yet determined man. It gets to the bottom of the cliffs and he gets out to climb to the top.
At the top of the cliffs, he gathers himself and starts to walk inland. Walking along the roads he doesn’t bother to try and hitchhike. He just walks. Cloaked, bearded, battered. But not quite broken.
He reaches London, where he goes straight to a terraced house. His fathers house.
With barely any strength left, he knocks on the door. But, a stranger opens to reveal he no longer has a home here. Now, he’s broken.
Nearby a priest see’s this, he recognises the man and takes him in. The priest explains to the man that his father died, economic turmoil caused him to take his own life, that England is in a sorry state.
The man, Captain Robin Loxley, thought to be dead for the past seven years, gets angry.
Premise
In this ten-part series, the adventures of Robin and his band of Merry Men unfold with gripping intensity. Led by Robin, the group embarks on a daring quest to right the wrongs of a corrupt society, forming an unlikely alliance with his best friend and former army comrade John Little, the streetwise yet unreliable Will Scarlett, and the disgraced GCHQ technician Michael “Much” Miller. Together, they set out to carry out acts of daring thievery, stealing from the rich to give to the poor while unravelling the sinister secrets of The Gisburn Group. Their exploits take the audience on a rollercoaster ride through the streets of London, where they encounter formidable foes and forge unbreakable bonds of camaraderie. As the tension mounts and the stakes grow higher, the merry band faces moral dilemmas, internal conflicts, and external threats that test their mettle and loyalty. Amidst the adrenaline-pumping escapades and heart-warming camaraderie, this series weaves a rich tapestry of adventure, honour, and the enduring fight for justice in the face of oppression.
Deeply entrenched in the underbelly of power and influence, The Gisburn Group wields an extensive network of control over the levers of economics, politics, media, and law enforcement. At the helm of this formidable and enigmatic organization is the shadowy figure of billionaire Guy Gisburn. Aided by the conniving and corrupt DI George Nottingham, who ruthlessly rules the streets of London with an iron fist, and the compliant yet puppet-like MP John Prince, Gisburn exerts his influence with calculated and ruthless efficiency, shaping the course of events with precision and cunning. The intricate web of connections and alliances woven by The Gisburn Group stretches across industries and institutions, ensuring its dominance and further cementing its grip on power. Beneath the veneer of respectability, deceit and manipulation lurk, as Gisburn and his cohorts navigate the complex web of influence, leaving an indelible mark on the very fabric of society.
Nevertheless, the noble band of Merry Men faces formidable opposition in the form of the aristocratic Marion “The Maid” Dubois. As a daring fellow thief with her own agenda, Marion skillfully navigates the treacherous waters of both high society and nocturnal criminal activities, risking exposure and mortal peril in the process.
In the midst of the ancient woodland, the merry band of outlaws led by the valiant Robin Hood tirelessly strive to uphold justice and provide respite for the downtrodden. This noble endeavour, however, is not without its challenges, as the formidable aristocratic figure of Marion “The Maid” Dubois emerges as a formidable adversary. Known for her daring exploits and enigmatic allure, Marion adeptly manoeuvres through the intricate web of high society and clandestine criminal undertakings, all while braving the constant threat of exposure and mortal danger. As the tension between the two factions escalates, the forest echoes with the clash of ideals and ambitions, setting the stage for a dramatic confrontation that will test their wits and courage.
Providing guidance to this group of vigilante thieves is Father Tuck, a moral compass and a paternal influence on Robin and John. Although striving to lead them on the path of righteousness, he is forced to make peace with assuming the role of a father figure entwined in their daring exploits.
As the series continues to unfurl, the band of outlaws finds themselves delving even deeper into the pervasive corruption that festers within England’s elite circles. Their dogged pursuit of truth reveals the intricate and nefarious ties linking the corruption to the Gisburn Group’s involvement in a covert military operation known as “The Ivanhoe Project,” which tragically led to Robin’s mysterious disappearance and presumed death. As the outlaws uncover more layers of deceit and treachery, the plot thickens, drawing them further into a web of danger and intrigue.
Their entwined fates unravel in unexpected ways, sparking a chain of events that will not only test their resolve but also endanger their lives. As they confront the sinister forces lurking beneath the veneer of societal prestige and power, they come to realize the extent of the darkness that permeates the highest echelons of leadership. The outlaws must navigate a treacherous path, not only to seek justice and redemption for themselves and their fallen comrade but also to shed light on the shadowy machinations that threaten the very fabric of their society. With each revelation, the stakes heighten, and the outlaws find themselves in a race against time, fighting against formidable adversaries and battling their own inner demons.
Amidst the tumultuous landscape of political intrigue and moral ambiguity, the outlaws are faced with choices that will profoundly impact their futures and the course of history. As the series progresses, the intricate web of alliances and betrayals unravels, leading to unforeseen alliances and harrowing confrontations. Each twist and turn in the narrative serves to further immerse the audience in a world where the line between right and wrong blurs, and the consequences of uncovering the truth are both profound and perilous.

The sight of their carefully hidden activities splashed across the media fuelled his apprehensions even further. However, as fate would have it, the very system that had irked him so became an unexpected saviour in their next heist. Although they were without a physical refuge and the guiding presence of their revered leader, they found strength in their unity and the righteousness of their cause.
