Inspiration must come from somewhere. For One Epic Year, it came from a terrible holiday that involved a long drive, woods, rain, cold, a nearly drowning dog and a lot of silence. From one bad weekend a whole years worth of adventures spawned, taking four unfortunate souls on an epic journey.

I have spent years drawing inspiration from various soundtracks and movies, aiming to honour them by incorporating their ideas into a year’s worth of television events. Featuring songs that inspire scenes or, in a perfect world, would in the show itself. It ranges from scores from other soundtracks to songs from the 80’s, mashups and musicals. Each one having a specific point and inclusion in the shows DNA.
