New One Epic Year Trailer/Concept Video

So, I’ve been a little quiet recently. This is because the writers and actors strike in America has caused things to go a little quiet in the SA world.

But I haven’t been sitting idly doing nothing or moving into other lines of work.

What I have been doing is working on a website for to better help SA’s in the industry and those already in the industry better understand it. This will be coming soon.

I’ve also been working on the pitch for One Epic Year. This has included a trailer/concept video. I’ve attached it below.

I’ve done this to better explain the premise of the show given that it is such an expansive show, with different moving parts. Take a look below and tell me what you think.

Four estranged childhood friends from East London are reunited by a mysterious man the year they all turn 40. Only to find that events throughout their One Epic Year were planned years ago. Working together, they must battle their own personal demons as they race against time to save Earth from impending doom. One Epic Year is a brainchild I came up with way back in 2017. It’s the story of four childhood friends who estranged in their early 20’s only to be brought back in the year they all turn forty by a mysterious man from their past.

The ANGEL guides us throughout One Epic Year, where the four friends must navigate their own lives with trials and tribulations, such as leaving an abusing relationship, dealing with the loss of a loved one, getting married, admitting a secret that’s been held for years. As well as weird instances no one would’ve thought possible. Like a time travelling alien ex, a heist to save their local pub, werewolf and vampire attacks, a terrorist attack from within London and more, all leading up to the day they would have to save the world. It is a ten-part series, with each episode based on a different day in the British holiday calendar, such as; New Years Eve, Valentines Day, Good Friday etc. Each episode uses a different genre, such as; Halloween = horror, Guy Fawkes Night = Spy Thriller.

All with a story arc linking them all together throughout. This video is to give an idea of the type of themes One Epic Year uses to tell its narrative. As it is such an expansive story not only containing different genres, but also different themes and storylines throughout the ten episodes.
